The e-commerce.

feedback to mysql db from payment module ?

Recommended Posts

I setup a free account with paypal to test functionality.

When oscommere checkout switches over to paypal for payment details

1. the payment value needed to be manually entered. Is this always the case ?

2. is there any feedback from paypal (using the oscommerec paypal module) to the oscommerce mysql database ? or is the only verification of payment and online check + email to oscommerec admin ?

What im trying to find out is, is there any payment module that send back details to oscommerce database.

It seems that the Order is created in MySql no matter what the payment modules does. It then upto the MySql admin to process, desptach the order after mannually checking payment verification.

What does everyone else do ?

Thanks for any information.

The major processors ( verisign and authoriznet ) send back return codes based on the status of an order. ITs really up to the individual moduel writer to handel this and determine feedback response.

Possibly this has not been done on the payment processing htat you are using?

Usually the return code is a two digt alpha character.

The great thing about beating your head against the wall is that it feels SO GOOD when you stop!
