burt
It's fairly standard Oscommerce, but it does look good! The reason why is that you have made the boxes look ver professional. I noticed that your footer bar (Onsdag 14 Juli, 2004 bar) doesn't have the same style though. I think it would look nicer with the same style as the breadcrumb bar. I like your categories menu too. V nice. I'm not 100% sure about your main image "the climber" - seems to take a lot of space in the page, which could be put to better use? Maybe move that, and it'll bring some of your products above the "fold" of the page... Also, you have *really* nice product images, and having good images always makes for good sales. Very clean, very nice. I like it.

Was it a contribution or did you modufy and how. Nice site. /* Intellectual property: are you for or against the human race? */ if ( you want exclusive ownership of an idea ) { keep your idea to yourself; // you greedy bastard }
Guest
burt--> Thanks for the comments. I agree with you. I will have to change the bottom bar to fit the other design. I was hoping for a professional look to the boxes, so thanks for that comment aswell. The large image on the frontpage is temporary and will be edited soon. Adam--> Thanks for the comments. The menu contri is Coolmenu with some modifications. I have made image backgrounds and speeding it up a bit. But all that studd is fairly easy to do. Keep the comments coming folks, good or bad. Have your say. / Zipper :D
KennethS
Im impressed, very nice site. Your images as said earlier are very crisp and clean. Just out of curiosity did you use the Photoshop Extract tool, hand made clipping path, or did you use some other tool to do these? Ive been taking digital pictures with a white sheet and using the Extract tool and small touchups afterwords to get the same result and Im always looking for faster or better way to do things. KennethS a lot of photoshop tools really boil down to personal preference but I happen to really dislike the extract tool unless working around hair or very fine detail. this is where extract really excels. personally, my preferred method is the pen tool. once you get good with it it is the fastest way to go when clipping away backgrounds. my photography skills still suck but I've got the pen down ;-) Do you ship UPS? Guest
KennethS --> Actually, most of the product images has been made available to me by the companies who makes the products. All i have done to some of them is small changes and added some text here and there. I use GD 2.0 for automatic thumbnail creation. That I can really recomend. GD produces great thumbs. Having that kind of service from many of the companies i work with has saved me alot of time, ofcource. Black_Skorpio --> Thanks for the feedback. nate_02631
I use GD 2.0 for automatic thumbnail creation. That I can really recomend. GD produces great thumbs. I can attest to that - check out my contrib for rescaling images on the fly... http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2226 There's also a simple tweak to have intermediate-sized product images on the product info pages - all with no extra image files to keep track of! ** Please do not PM with personal support requests (even if offering "payment"). Thank you.
Guest
I have made changes to the product info view. Making some of the related info, such as reviews, manifacturers info and so on into tabs. Not my idea though, but it looks nice. :) Example: http://www.sweclimb.se/product_info.php?products_id=610 Zipper
Gil_e_n
Very nice. You actually managed to make it feel clean despite the amount of stuff on the front page. I wish more people could manage that. (Hell, I wish I could manage that.) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks. I want to get as much of the new products as possible on the front page, but also keeping some of the most inportant information there. Such as shipping time and cost, customer information, signups and so on. It's always hard to make out how much space that information should be allowed to take.
