Transfering my 'local' catalog folder to server

Recommended Posts

Hi to all, I have nearly got my shop looking/operating how I want it locally on my computer. I have webspace available with MYSQL and PHP enabled etc, and wish to transfer my local setup as simply as possible. The question is:

If I put a fresh install of Oscomm in my root folder and install as normal (using the same database file name as I'm using locally) - then when the installation is complete I replace the catalog folder with my local version. My guess is I'd have to reconfigure some entries in my configure.php file at the very least, but his has to be easier than building my shop online surely?

Any thoughts on this method or has anyone an easier method? thank you. Sean

Just upload the files that you have on your local setup and just change both /includes/configure.php to reflect new url

as The_Bear says make the configure.php files reflect the paths of the server
