ellisj
:D Hi there. I have a an online shop that is due to go live soon. I cannot for the life of me work out how I go bout letting people download the downloads for free. I have technical pdf documents that I do not want to charge for. I do not want to have the customer think he/she has to pay for free information that is available direct from the manufacturer of my products (albeit by snail mail!) Has anyone ever experienced this, and/or is it an easy task to accomplish? Any help, or pointers at all are appreciated ;) . I've perfomed a few searches to no avail. Thanks
Guest
You would have to install something like download controller contribution which enables FREE downlaods and delivery solutions. Do a search for this is the contribution part of osc site.
Guest
Is the download controller required to manage downloadable purchase items? A step-by-step procedure to setup a downloadable item would be nice, I have been searching to no avail yet.
Jaguar
The downlaod controller is required to allow for items that have a retail value but can be downloaded from your site. The download controller is not designed to hold your or your customers hand during the process. Properly implemented the download controller is easy to implement and easy to use by your customer. Download it from the contributions section. Search on "download" I use it and it works great. Loren The great thing about beating your head against the wall is that it feels SO GOOD when you stop!
