liquidlens
 I've got the software installed, and get to the final screen where I have the choice to go to admin or (can't remember the other one right now!). When I click on either of them I get the following message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_href_link() in /home/sites/site229/web/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 467 I've made sure that both configure.php files have permissions set to 777, and that the configure.php paths are all valid. Any ideas? All help gratefully received. Kind regards, Mark
Chris Dunning
It looks like not all of the files were uploaded properly. Check your includes/functions directory and compare it to the includes/functions directory in the zip file that you downloaded. MrBafner
Had the exact same problem on several installs today. We are attempting to move a site from our old host to our new host. Transfering the same files over with the same database, produced bad results. The new server has the latest version of PHP which I recon is part of the problem. A few times I had to turn globals on in the php.ini and then this was the result. Now onto the 6th install, after playing around with databases, config files, and stuffing around with some entries from contributions. The old server had the OsCommerce 2.2 but I noticed that some script are different in the latest 2.2 download (I assume the meaning of 2.2 MS2, which is really confusing as the 2.2 is not the same as the old 2.2, and should be 4.2 by the looks of the amount of changes in the scripts) Any responses in resolving this would be pretty kewl. Chris Dunning
osCommerce 2.2CVS, osCommerce 2.2MS1 and osCommerce 2.2MS2 are all different versions. 2.2MS2 is the latest version. MS stands for MileStone - it's a stopping place on the way to a final 2.2 version. I agree with you that the versioning system is a little odd, but that's the way the developers have decided to do it. The differences between 2.2MS1 and 2.2MS2 are very significant. MS2 included some major upgrades in the security of the system amongst several other things. 2.2CVS could mean either very old or bleeding-edge - the CVS version is the daily snapshot of the developer's code. It may or may not be a stable release. My suggestion to you is to upgrade to MS2, then install your contributions and modifications.
