Unable to delete address from address book?

I didn't mess around in catalog/address_book.php or in catalog/address_book_process.php, yet when I want to delete an address from my address book and click delete (delete=some number gets appended to the url), the program always acts as if I want to update the address not delete it (except when trying to delete the primary address which is not allowed)

 

I'm sure this has been reported before although I have tried searching for it (by the way the search on this forum is a little screwed up ie you cannot enclose your search criteria in double quotes for finding an exact match as the documentation in Advanced Usage Help says - it just doesn't work!)

 

Does anybody know how to fix the address book problem?
