Guest
Hi guys... Hope you all are going great.... I was wondering if there was some way we can format the Products Description while entering them. It's nice to have some spaces between lines, bold text, italics, different colors and stuff...... While entering the Description of the Product i am adding, i've tried putting some html tags like <br> and stuff, but nothing seemed to work. Any ideas  Thanks, Kumail

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
Guest
I have been installing contributions to a clean install os osCommerce. This is part of my hosting company and installs itself with a few clicks from my control panel. According to "Server Info" this is osCommerce 2.2-MS2. I thought I had been testing everything as I installed each contribution, but now KI realize that I can no longer use HTML to format my product description field. Now when I enter: <BR><BR> it gets converted to: _BR__BR_ And, if I go back and try to edit the default products, any html in those product descriptions gets altered the same way. Here is the list of contributions I have add, in the order I have installed them: About PayPal PayPal Footer Verify SMC shipping Enhanced Visitor Counter EZ_Populate Tell-A-Friend Store Also Header Tags Ultimate SEO CCGV (Coupons & Gift Vouchers) Wishlist 3.5d AntiRobotRegistrationValidation2.6 Master Password v1.4 Fast Easy Checkout Simple Template System (STS) On the Fly Thumbnails I first suspected STS, but even with all the STS module removed in the admin panel, it still behaves the same way. Can any one tell me which of these contributions would be causing this?
Guest
After further investigation on the forums, I found this post: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?s=&...st&p=692841 That talks about replacing the catalog/includes/functions/database.php file. When I replaced the tep_db_prepare_input function with the one suggested in that post, everything worked fine. digging back thru the milestones I take after each contribution installation, I found that that file was modified when I installed "Ultimate SEO". Hope this might be helpful for others. And, thanks Dave for the solution.
