Guest
Hi- I have actually been working on this a long, long time - have started over from scratch 4 times while learning PHP and SQL. Overall I am pleased with where I have ended up but I need to stop tweaking and just cut over to the new store. OsC Store The site is fairly "stock" OsC but retains the feel of our existing site. Thanks to the community as a whole, without which I would never have tried this. ALL feedback is appreciated. - Regards
Guest
OK I am now Live. The Contributions I used are: Option Type Feature (I paid Raak Technologies to create a way to incorporate TEXTAREA form input) very cool, without it I could not have the store FedEx Direct 2.04 FedEx Zip Zones ( when curl gives me probs, I switch to this) Froogle Data Feeder Authorize.net v17 Catalog Anywhere 3 sizes of Product Images for MS2 CC Infobox Geotrust Infobox Customer Testimonials 1.3 Header tags Controller 2.2 Shopping Cart Box Enhancement PDF catalogs 1.51 X Sell 2.2 MS2 Free Shipping Payment 5.0 Links Manager for OsC 1.01 PWA 0.70 That's about it. Thanks to the OsC team - this has been a great trip. Steve
AXM
Pretty nice. I like the creative usage of the options fields. One constructive comment. On the shopping cart too bad there isn't some type of cross-browser javascript code that you can use to hide the detailed discriptions of all options chosen (especially text) by hiding it unless the customer presses a "more info" button. I found a bit of code that looked similiar to that on Microsoft's Submit It FAQ section...but its not cross-browser compatible (doesn't work on my IE 4.0)...but its a start. I'm not very familiar with layers otherwise there might be a way using that method. I ♥ PHP/MYSQL/CSS
Guest
AXM - Thanks for the comment, I know what you mean about the cart and options - it's always rather lengthy when the options are wording for an invitation. I do like to have it included as it is reassuring to the customer to see what they have ordered with their wording etc. as they are proceeding thru the checkout process. I always have my eyes peeled for other tweaks though, I'm totally addicted to this now. SK
