Hi all, and iam sorry for my bad engish 

I have setup an ossommerce store on www.emet.gr/shop

I have the following problems :

A) when someone buy something when goes to checkout in the page where you can pickup the pay way or send way

The page writes ?This is currently the only payment method available to use on this order? and have no choice to make!

Also on the admin page > modules>payment in the list write module directory /payment/ and nothing else, and shiping and order total the same 

B) on admin>tools>files manager writes ?Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:\domains\emet.gr\wwwroot\admin\file_manager.php on line 179

Please help me  [email protected]

I just went through a similar problem with a new host I am testing. The problem is that the paths set in admin/includes/configure.php need to be absolute. If you check yours, they are most likely not. For example, in that file you should have something like

 define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/username/public_html/shop_name/');

but you probably have something like

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT);

If this is the case, you will need to contact your host and find out what the absolute path is.

Yeah, that is what I thought. You have a defined value instead of an absolute path. I'm sure that is your problem. I think what you need to do is make the following changes:
 define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', 'c:/domains/emet.gr/wwwroot/');
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', 'c:/domains/emet.gr/wwwroot/admin/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'c:/domains/emet.gr/wwwroot/');

You may also need to change the entry for DIR_WS_CATALOG to /wwwroot/shop .

The above should work, or at least get you closer, but if you still have problems, you really need to be asking your host. They are the ones providing the path afterall.

HTH,

Jack

You don't have any entry for this. This is a host-specific setting so I can't help you. Contact your host and ttell them you need an absolute path for the configure file in your shop.

He can learn that from phpinfo.php

Drop this file in the catalog folder.

filename = phpinfo.php

<?
phpinfo();
?>

Run www.yoursite.com/catalog/phpinfo.php

Under Environment you'll find the fileserver root

Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux

Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)

Great, I didn't know you could do that. I just tried it though and failed:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/shop_mcs/phpinfo.php on line 2

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/shop_mcs/phpinfo.php on line 2

Any idea why it is doing that?

I had noticed that and tried it the other way but still got the same results. I'm on a IIS server so that might be why?

Just to be clear, by installed you mean that when you click on one of those, you see Remove and Edit boxes in the right column? I doubt that you are using all of those for payment processing so I'm wondering if by installed you mean that they are listed on the admin page.

They are listed on the admin page all of these are.

I have "Remove" "Edit" buttons in the side bar when I select 2checkout or Paypal, meaning that they should be showing up when I run the store-front? In this thread the problem seemed to have been reolved by a fix in the configure.php file for the user, but I have already looked into this and it doesn't seem to be the issue, is there anything else that I might try.

Ok, thanks for claifying. I can't think of anything else to try. You may want to post your admin->includes->configure.php file here (minus password and username). Maybe you missed a setting?

Jeez guys I cannot figure this out...

Here is my admin/includes/configure.php file, I am using the same settings for the includes/configure.php file:

<?php

?define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/newstore/admin/'); // absolute

?define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/newstore/'); // absolute path

I had one host where the above entries would work. On my current host, I have to add my user name to it to make it work. So given your path, home/####/public_html/newstore,

use whatever is at #### and add it before both of these paths giving

  define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/####/newstore/admin/'); // absolute
 define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/####/newstore/'); // absolute path

I don't know if that will fix it but it is worth a try. Good luck.

in admin/includes/configure.php you may have to change the root from

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/####/public_html/newstore/');

to

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/####/public_html/newstore');

basically just remove the / from the end

Well believe it or don't I have found the problem!

Under the each Payment Module in the Admin Panel...

Payment Zone

If a zone is selected, only enable this payment method for that zone.

...so if you have this on and your not "in the Zone" your not going to see any payment type!

oops! ;)

Thanks for all the assitance and contributing to the value of this Thread.
