damo2576 Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 Hi, In some certain test cases on my site the SID seems to dissapear, however everything continues to work fine. The url will look something like /index.php?cPath=5&osCsid= Strange? I'm using force cookies=false and storing sessions in mysql. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Damo
Guest Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 Alo have the same problem at http://www.sunrom.com Tying to figure out why that is happening, I am using STS templates I have have set all things to default in Sessions section of admin. Any idea? Regards, Viral Purohit
AlanR Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 The session IDs are supposed to disappear from the address after osC determines it can set cookies and does so. Usually it will happen after a few clicks if everything is working correctly. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
Guest Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 Hi Alan, You are right, I used this online utility to know how search engine wud see my page. http://www.widexl.com/remote/search-engine...g-analyzer.html The report headers said Set-Cookie: osCsid=c328217f08a0e0098b5fdfb3ceb72ed9; path=/; domain=www.sunrom.com It means, the URL only contain osCsid when cookies cannot be set, Thanks, Viral Purohit
