Hi,

I'm using what I think is v 1.1.4.4 of osCommerce.

I am trying to force cookies but I can't find it anywhere in the admin. Is it available in this version.

Is "force cookies" labeled differently in this version

Basically I have a customer that keeps being asked to re-register and I@m trying to get to the bottom of the problem

Thanks for any help

I have being using it since last october. I'm more a graphic designer than a programmer so the php side of things is a little overwhelming at the moment.

The hosting I have www.hosting365.ie installed the oscommerce build.

Their exact problem is:

"Once again I've tried to purchase on your web-site and I keep getting bounced back and being asked to re-register, even though I have done so already."

I can't see their name in the customer list in the admin section. I have a feeling that the person "running" the site has deleted the customers rather than their completed orders but I'm not sure.

I've tested the site in IE and Firefox and on Mac without problems so I'm stuck.

I just thought their problem may be with cookies but I tested the site without cookies enabled and again had no problem.

In the admin I'm using their is no "session" in the menu but there is a "cache" one where I can either turn cache on and off..

I'm pretty stuck. I don't want to start installing a new version as I'm trying to finish up with the client (long story).

Is is anythingto do with the session ids in the url when they shop? I can't think of any setting that would prevent the client from staying logged in. I've even deleted temp files and history while placing an order & again had no probs.

Sorry to go on but this problem was brought to my attention only recently

Thanks for any help
