How should I make a non-static header?

I recently came across a tool which will show what your page looks like in it's purest text format, which is what many search engines basically break it down to. I realized that even with Meta Tags, search engines were still reading the same thing over and over because my header remains constant. Is there a good way to some how incorporate my product name/description into my header (even if in the top logo as an alt) so that engines will see new info?

Nevermind, much easier than I thought. I just used this for my logo...

<img src="images/logoname.gif" alt="Company Name - Company Slogan - <?php echo $the_product_name; ?>">

The only thing is, on my home page I end up with

"Company Name - Company Slogan -"
