It is possible to add product options?

Is it possible to add add options or attributes like product color or size? These would not affect the price, so I don't think I need a modification to osC to do this. Several topics I've seen mention that this can be done directly in the administration panel, but I can find nothing in admin to accomplish this.

The document says that there should be a "product options" item in the upper left corner of the page, but I can not find such an option. Here's what I'm doing: first I go to mystore/admin, then under "choose an option" I select "contents" under the "catalog" category. Then I get a "categories/products" screen, where I click on the category, such as "gifts", which lists all products in that category. I then select a product, such as "candles" to highlight the product, then click the "edit" button. At this point I can change the product's description, weight, price, manufacturer, etc. BUT NO OPTIONS such as color or size. Perhaps this is something that can only be added with the product originally and not put in later? Maybe I have to delete all my products then re-add them?

After you have successfully added your product....

Go to Catalog->Product Attributes and add your appropriate color attributes etc. and assign those attributes at the bottom of the screen by selecting thew appropriate product.

Thank you. The attributes are not a category within the product itself, but are global in nature. I was trying to add attributes to a product, not to the whole catalog.

You have to add the attribute to the whole "catalog". Then you assign that attribute to as many products as you want.

You only have to create the color attribute once and then re-use it in all of your products.

if you have to add the same set of attributes to every product; you should look at the attribute set contribution to save you some time

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

Find the most frequent unique errors to fix:

grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt

Thanks, bruyndoncx, for the contributions suggestion. I am looking into that now.
