online updated with offline copy

Hi All

I have looked at many things regarding this offline updating with eqasy populate being the most obvious however, easypopulate just timeouts all the time so was of no use and I didn't get any responses from anyone (a long time ago so no worries)

So here it is I have the offline version running smootly and the online version running smoothly but I want to update the online version from the online version, infact this is going to be a two way thing becuase orders and stock willl want to be replicated too, so that everything is sync. So presumably I just copy the schema from one to the other and don't forget which version is the most upto date!! Is this correct or is there a more efficente solution?

Thank you to all those that read this and bigger thanks for those of you who can respond... actually do you need to know operating systems? This is going to be a MySQL thing I know so I may have to ask on the MySQL list.

The more automated this process can be the better, ie would a cron job be a way forward? Its a bit chicken and egg as all products will be added offline and existing products updated accordingly, so the obvious problem is not updating the offline version untill all new products have been added to the online version, stock control isn't a problem I guess.

Many thanks

Andrew
