implementing SSL through authorize.net

I have a site i set up using OSC at

www.virginiatoy.com

i set it up originally using plain http. no security, just to get the site up and running. Once i went live i found transactions were processing perfectly through authorize.net, so i was prepared to switch to a secure SSL layer.

i got a dedicated ssl certificate through my provider for https://virginiatoy.com

however for the LIFE of me i cant get transactions to go through.

i changed includes/configure.php to use the https server

and also set use ssl to true

and changed the relay response url in auth.net to

https://virginiatoy.com/catalog/checkout_process.php

and i get the error message

"there was an error submitting a response to the merchant, however your transaction was approved" from authorize.net when you place an order.

however this DOES NOT happen when i dont use SSL.

i already tried different combinations of the response reciept url's and everything ive been able to find on other posts. Does anyone have an idea about how i can get this working??

thanks ahead of time!
