dakatone Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Hello all: I am having a problem which is becoming a hair-puller. The site is performing fine under SSL, except when you want to checkout. Processing the cart would not work, came up a "404 File not found" error. Now, the checkout_shipping.php file under SSL "mysteriously" works, but the payment selction and other steps after that do not. After selecting shipping option, and clicking "continue", a 404 error arrives. The SSL is set properly as far as I know. All the other directly accessible files display properly under SSL. This is the only point in which I have incured a problem with SSL. I appreciate any feedback and assistance. Ruhl
Guest Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 what about a link to the site, else post the top portion of your configure.php file, without database info, password, username
blucollarguy Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 I had a problem with SSL through shared ceritificate since in order to use it I had to work with a "SSL" directory to access the https server. It messed up most of the points at which the script neede to write to the db. Don't know why exactly, and I don't know if this helps you in any way. But info is never a bad thing. Almost never. dakatone Posted July 1, 2004 Author Posted July 1, 2004 Craig Garrison: Yes, this is as I have determined what is apparently occuring to my site. It is currently setup on a shared UNIX. The only way, for future instances and such, I can think of getting around this is to utilize a payment infrastructure offsite since they will incorporate the SSL. Thank you for your help. Ruhl
blucollarguy Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Thanks for letting me know. I use PayPal for processing since they began accepting credit cards wothout needing the customer to setup a PayPal account and their fee structure is not that bad when you consider the "statement fees" and such every other gateway charges. But I am glad you have at least fugured out your problem. Good luck, Craig. Happy Coding! Craig Garrison Sr Anything worth having, is worth working for.
