Hi- following an old tip-and-trick, I turned my infobox search into an advanced search. It was so long ago- I can't even find the post anymore! I've looked at the includes/boxes/search.php file, and advanced_search.php and don't really remember what the changes were.

In any case, I want to add the category descriptions into the table that gets searched- and the files generated in info-pages manager as well.

How do I do it?

No one has any ideas?

To put the question in another way- How do I tell the search function which tables or columns to search in?

or, perhaps the question should be... Am I the only person who would like to use the search function to access my pitch articles as an extended sales tool? :)

How do I add the category descriptions into the criteria that the advanced search function searches?

I just setup the contribution "Products Extra Fields". This contrib allows you to create your own product fields and includes them in your search query. Works for me!

hey, thanks!

that is a useful contrib to people like me who sell handcrafted items. I have all kinds of wierd things I want to add to my descriptions!

can I see what this contrib looks like on a site? Do you have a link?
