After reading numerous posts about curl and people struggling with it, there someone that knows how curl works should write a debugcurl.php applet. This should test all the necessary configuration of php, curl, apache, ssl, etc and report back what is missing. If I knew more about this stuff, I would do it, but I don't know how.
