Guest Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Hello, After making changes to the site based upon reviews previously made, the site is now changed to reflect them. Please review the site for looks, design, functionality, etc. The site is live. There are almost 16000 attributes on the 5000 products in the site. This is an adult oriented site, so please refrain from going if you get offended. My Webpage For Review
cdi-buy.com Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Looks awesome except one thing I immediately noticed: when you add something to your cart, you neither get directed to your cart nor shown what is in your cart. There is no immediate way to see what's in your cart except the tiny link in the upper right corner. I would either have the customer taken to their cart when adding something or at least show something somewhere obvious that he/she just added something. nevermind. apparently I wasnt directed the first time or it didn't add it. you might want to have the shipping estimator pop-up wider because the customer has to manually resize it and it's kind of annoying.

damo2576 Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Great site! amazed that that can be done with OSC. If I have to make a contructive critism I'd say the year drop down box on the front page should sort in descending order, ie 1999->1900 did you use a template contribution for your site or do it yourself? nice one, damo. ps. you still havent checked my site out....
Guest Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 no template for the site, all graphics via photoshop, etc . .. i will see about reversing the years, yes, i think it would be better that way, thanks for the suggestion!
cdi-buy.com Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 How did you manage to use so many graphics yet keep the load time so quick? Even when I compress the hell out of my files I still get slow graphics load times.
Guest Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 using photoshop all small images are less than 10k, i did not use the thumbnail contribution as that does not reduce in bytes, the image. granted if i had items higher in the structure, there would be less bytes on the transfer, but i didnt as there is not too much lag time at all.
