Site Chokes While Getting UPS Info

I've had my store up for about a month now with no issues whatsoever. Today I was testing a couple of things and when I got to the checkout, I get this error:

 

Warning: fsockopen(): php_network_getaddresses: gethostbyname failed in /usr/home/stud/www/htdocs/catalog/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330

 

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to www.ups.com:80 in /usr/home/stud/www/htdocs/catalog/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330

 

Is this on my server's end or is it on UPS' end? Or could it be either? Up until now, the store has been running great.

mine just started doing this too. How did you fix it??
