Perhaps this has already been addressed somewhere, but I am not having any luck searching for it in the forum or on google . . .

1. I would like the "buy now" buttons to actually add the item to the shopping cart, rather than just open the item description page. (this really bugs me)

2. I would like to add a "add to cart" button at the top of the item description in addition to the one at the bottom of screen. I thought of changing the "click to enlarge" button into a "add to cart" button. Has anyone already done this? And/or.. . how do I add "add to cart" buttons within the item description?

Many thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

Did you have any luck with this? I've been searching for a way to put an add to cart button at the top also.

<td class="main" align="right"><input type="hidden" name="products_id" value="36"><input type="image" src="includes/languages/english/images/buttons/button_buy_now.gif" border="0" alt="Add to Cart" title=" Add to Cart "></td>

<!--webbot bot="HTMLMarkup" endspan --></td>

Hi Mike, I'm no PHP guru, but I just put the code above in the top of my HTML product description. I haven't figured out why the "buy now" buttons on certain pages take you tot he product description instead of adding to cart. Maybe there is someone out there who can help?

if the product has a option even if its only one and you canot chose it still gets displayed and therefore the link would take you to the product info page instead of adding t straight to cart.

if you have only one option i would suggest to add it in to the info then you should be ok.

There's not a better way to do this without editting every product? I would like to do this too, but inserting this HTML into 1000+ products seems a bit cumbersome. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
