Guest Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 I am trying to open a site for the resale of Videos, DVD's and video games. But I have spent the last three days fruitlessly searching the net for a way to contact the dealer departments of some of these massive companies such as Sony, Microsfot, and Paramount. Anyone have any suggestions for how to find the sales department and to become a dealer of these goods?
Chris Dunning Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 For those companies in particular, I couldn't say. For the companies I've dealt with, I found their corporate phone numbers on their websites and called in. Try to find a number that's not an 800 number, that's more likely to be the corporate office rather than the customer help line. It will take some digging. You might also want to go onto superpages.com to look them up - try to find the address of their corporate office and look them up in that city. Chance Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 You are more than likely going to have to go through a wholesaler or master distributor with such large companies. Most require minimum initial orders that are cost prohibitive to even large companies. My advice comes in two flavors- Pick the one that won't offend you. Chris Dunning Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Sometimes, yes - but do your research. Some of the companies I deal with only require orders in the $300-$500 range. Of course I could buy the same products from a wholesaler in smaller quanitities, but there's a markup. Chris Dunning osCommerce, Contributions Moderator Team Please do not send me PM!
