Guest Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Is there a way to specify exactly which page and order products will be displayed on? I've searched the forum and couldn't find what I'm looking for. I work for a jewelry company and we're using osCommerce. When the designer creates a new line she usually creates a necklace, bracelet, and earrings which all match visually. She may also create complimentary items that may not fall in that exact same color family. When we do our paper catalogs we group those items together on the same page. Does anyone know how I can ensure that items ABC, XYZ, and ABC123 all show on the same page? I was thinking that if there was another field in the database that specified the page that it could be called from the index.php with some url parameters (something like &page=2) and only show items that correspond to the current page. Anyone have any ideas or solutions for this? Thanks for your help.
Guest Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Mike, thanks for the reply. Does this addon just list the cross promotional items when someone clicks on a product and goes to product_info.php? I need to be able to control the display order when browsing a category. I'll check into this addon to verify and I appreciate the lead. Thanks John
Guest Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 This seems to only work once someone clicks on a product and sees the details of that product. Does anyone know how to group things in a specific order (product #'s aren't sequential unfortunately) while viewing the category listing? Example: Let's say I have 3 categories; Necklaces, Earrings, and Bracelets. When I click Necklaces from the category list, I'd like to be able to control the order in which those products are displayed. Can someone help? Thanks John
