  1. Hello, I had some issues trying to get the USPS shipping modules to work that came with OS Commerce version 2.3.3 -- it only displayed "Library Mail" which I'll never use. So, I made several copies of two files: catalog/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php and catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usps.php Then modified them to display only USPS First-Class Parcel, USPS Priority Mail, and USPS Express Mail. They're new files, so you can simply drag and drop them into the appropriate folders without destroying your website. Once you've uploaded them, you can select each USPS shipping method in the Admin panel (Modules -> Shipping) then "Install" each new shipping module. You can also alter the text that appears in each shipping method during checkout. Just go to you Admin panel (Tools -> Define Langauges). Then scroll down until you see "modules/shipping/uspsParcel.php", "modules/shipping/uspsPriority.php", and "modules/shipping/uspsExpress.php". Click on each one to change/redefine the MODULE_SHIPPING_USPSEXPRESS_TEXT_DURING_CHECKOUT text. Each USPS shipping method appears as its own shipping entity during checkout: I hope this helps other people who've been running into the same issues I did. Feel free to update and re-post better/modified code. Thanks, Matt
  2. I downloaded the New USPS module (most current). It gives me files to modify or upload. Looking at the instructions I'm not sure if the new files go in Admin or Catalog (which I call Store). Here's the install instructions: 1. open folder "New_Files" and drop into your catalog directory, overwriting existing files. Here it says upload module.php There was no previous module.php in the Store directory but there is one in Store/Admin 2. open folder "Files_To_Modify" and use file comparing tool to change existing files (or follow instructions below). Files to modify starts with includes/classes/http.php Does that go in Store or Store/Admin? They both have an Includes folder. Thanks, Jack
  3. Hello all, new forum member here (and oscommerce n00b.. I normally use a version of CRELoaded on my other shops... I am helping a friend on this one). I have been trying to solve an international shipping problem on an existing store running 2.2-M2. It looks like Domestic shipping rates are showing up OK (though it does not specifically say "USPS" on the checkout page, just the weight and cost). If I change my address to one, say, in the UK, I no longer get a shipping option upon checkout. If I change my address to one in Canada, I get what looks like the domestic (US) shipping option, and the rates appear to be pretty low. Is there a way to tell what Shipping module I am using? It of course says usps.php in the directory, but I can't seem to determine "which" module it is. I've been searching here for the past couple of days and have found a lot about the DomesticV4 IntlV2 module, but I'm not convinced that is what we are using. The other thing is the Zones module. That is currently set to just have a Zone 1 with US and CA. Do I need additional zones to trigger my "rest of the world" shipping for int'l customers? Thanks in advance for any insight or direction you can provide. Edit: My friend's hosting company / isp installed this usps module yesterday so I am going to see if he can tell me which version he installed. Their next suggestion was a fresh install of oscommerce *but* they are concerned there are other customizations that they might break if they fresh install. (The man that originally set up the shop is no longer available from what I am told.) In the meantime I may need to check my CRELoaded shops in case they are broken too. My friend here says his Int'l shipping broke back in November but he hadn't tried to fix it until now. Cheers, Paul
  4. I'm running a very customized version of osCommerce, and having a lot of difficulties all of a sudden with the international shipping. Here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/ejN6w.jpg Any ideas, tips, any one seen this before?
