Hello, I am trying to set up my Paypal Standard module, are there any posts here that explain how to do that? If there isn't can someone explain it? Also what is the difference between Sandarad and Express Checkouts? I guess I am not sure exactly which one I should be using. I have a Premier Paypal Account, if that makes a difference. We are currently using the PayPal Website Payments Pro (US) Direct Payments module. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5659 We recently discovered that PayPal is not including the shipping tax in their total. PayPal is including the item amount, item tax, and shipping fee but excluding the shipping tax from the total that the customer pays. Within osCommerce all of these taxes are calculated and communicated properly. For orders that we ship within Canada we are obligated to charge GST/HST on the shipping fee. How do I pass the shipping tax value to PayPal for inclusion in the total? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, I am trying to install PayPal WPP with 3D Secure. It seems OK up to a point but there are a some questionable areas (the change is based http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7280 but I think the questions are fairly general)- 1) the initial call to Cardinal Sentinel (the bridge for PayPal 3D Secure) returns a 'live' bank url to obtain the 3D Secure authorisation. Is a test version available? Without a test version how can end-to-end testing be performed. 2) Running PayPal WPP in the sandbox with 3D Secure disabled appears to work - stock updated, emails sent, transaction recorded in the PayPal merchant sandbox account. The only thing missing is the transaction is not recorded in the PayPal sandbox buyer account? 3) Running PayPal WPP in the sandbox seems to function without the need to first sign in to the sand box. Normally when testing in the sandbox it is necessary to sign in first. Is something missing? Is there a PayPal WPP 3D Secure version for osC 2.3? Many Thanks

Hi All! First let me apologize if this has been asked and answered in the past. I have spent a good week searching and I simply cant find a direct answer. (The PayPal Support Number was also unable to answer). I currently have a website which I sell an E-Book through. When this book is purchased through the Buy Now Button, I receive the notification and send them an e-mail with the URL to the book they have bought. I would really like to set this up as an automated process.. ie: customer buys the book, paypal (or other service) sends a recipt and this recipt would contain the URL for the book. (The URL does not change, users dont have seperate passwords to access). Is there a way in PayPal you can do this? All help is much appreciated! I have attempted to ask on the PayPal Community but didnt get any reply :( I did a Google Search and found this resource! Thanks

I am running the PayPal IPN module and have been for years. If a customer doesn't have a PayPal account, the shipping address is populated into the billing address and displayed to the customer. I don't know if this is something recent or if it has always been incorrect. Can someone sugguest how to fix this? V J

I've installed the online gift card contribution ( http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5527 ) in my 2.2 RC2 shop, and it works perfectly except for when a customer pays by PayPal. When paying by PayPal, the gift voucher processes correctly from the customer's perspective, but it retains all of its value. For example, when a gift card has $12 left, and the customer makes a total purchase of $18, they pay $6. If paying by credit card, the gift card's value is deducted by $12, but when paying by PayPal, the gift card keep all of its value. I'm at a loss as to where to fix the issue exactly, but I suspect I need to find a way to pass information through the PayPal payment module which is then passed back to the checkout_success.php page, which I could then add code to remove the value from the gift voucher. But I don't know how to do this. If this is as simple as I'd think for someone familiar with the IPN, I'd be willing to pay to get this done. Or... could you point me in the right direction?

Hi All, I have setup www.munchcupboard.com/store on behalf of a client and we have run into an issue with the completion of sales. We had to set up the site with an additional contribution so that we could do shipping costs based on States. When you go through the checkout process, it displays the shipping address, calculates cost based on State and Weight, and gets you to select a method. Continuing on from this selecting the payment method as PayPal express (either by the button or the normal checkout flow), with the billing address visible it takes you to the PayPal payments page. I understand its normal to enter all the billing information. Would be great if there was a way that OSCommerce based the billing address automatically on to paypal though? Anyway, once this is done, and you return to the confirmation page, the billing address is blank, along with the shipping address. Because of this, the shipping cost is then removed, and the customer can proceed without paying any shipping, and obviously our invoices/packaging slips are blank because all the information is missing. This does not happen when we select Bank Transfer (provided by another contribution). I assume this is because the site isn't left. I have searched through the forum for a fix to this, and have found many people with similar problems, but can't find a resolution to this particular problem. Any and all help would be really appreciated!

Dear All, Using OSC v2.2 and PayPal Website Payments Standard. I live in Singapore and to accommodate the local address format i have added 2 extra customer address field. They are for the house / block number and unit number. Is it possible to get PayPal to return these 2 fields? PayPal also ignore the suburb filed. Is it possible to pass this field to PayPal so that it is return to the order invoice? At the moment, only the "STREET_ADDRESS" field is capture by PayPal and return to the OSCommerce which was record in the successful order invoice. Thank you in advance for your help.

Good Afternoon, We have the Sagepay Form module installed which has been working successfully in the main. However we have just installed the Paypal option using Sagepay's instructions and although the transactions are working successfully the customer is being returned to our failure url rather than the success url. Cutsomer and store receives success email from Sagepay but no order process email is sent I am unsure why the paypal transactions are not being directed to the same success url as for successful card payments. Sagepay are unsure also. Is additional code needed somewhere specifically for Paypal transactions? Many thanks

Hi everyone, I noticed that we'd been getting quite a lot of PayPal eCheque payments of late, this isn't a problem but it's often easy to miss that it's an eCheque as when paying using an eCheque the payment goes into the 'Pending' status along with all of the other fully completed payments. I was wondering if it was possible for just eCheque payments to be put into a status of their own 'Pending eCheques' automatically, then when the eCheque clears, for the status to be updated to 'Pending' so it goes in with the rest of the completed payments? If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I received a letter from PayPal (as well as a phone call) last week indicating I needed to change my routing API from the Phoenix office to the Salt lake City location via a new IP Address. I have scoured the PayPal code in my Public folder and have found no mention of the IP Address. I am on a shared server and am starting to believe my hosting company (Lunarpages) needs to change this on the server side rather than me finding it in the PayPal Direct Payment code. Has anyone else received this email or know where the IP address gets changed? Letter from PayPal: Earlier this year, we sent several communications alerting you that we were moving our primary data center to Salt Lake City. That change occurred on April 19, 2012. Our data center in Phoenix is now used as a backup site. According to our records, you need to take action now to route your API transactions to the Salt Lake City data center. Now that the upgrade is completed, it is important that you make the necessary changes to your routing and/or firewall settings so that you are hard-coded to PayPal’s primary data center. Notifications regarding future maintenance's, downtime's or upgrades will only apply to our primary data center. No notifications will be sent regarding our backup site. Hi i recently transfer my site from one host to another and i updated all the configuration files to reflect this change. All the modules work execept for when a costumer goes pay in paypal. During check out of a product the price + shipping costs appear but when he/she is directed to paypal the shipping cost dispears. I can't figure out why. Thanks

Hello, Looking at different osC Paypal module options, and cannot seem to find one that does not place the order before the customer has actually hit the "confirm order" button. My store used to work fine (using PayPal Express Checkout module) until PayPal changed something last year (taken me a long time to get around to fixing it). Now if someone chooses PayPal Express checkout the PayPal transaction goes through but when they return to the checkout confirmation page customer gets the error message 'a successful transaction has already been completed for this item'. So I get the money but no store order! Which page should customer be returned to after the payment is completed (in PayPal website proferences)? Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm currently using the PayPal IPN payment module, although I'm not entirely sure if this issue is related to it or not. The problem seems to be centred around the checkout_confirmation page. If a customer reaches that page and then decides to go back and change their shipping address, billing address, or shipping method, the order that was written into the database does not reflect the changes they make, nor is a new order generated. What the customer sees on the screen changes, and the correct data is sent to Paypal when they pay (new order total, shipping method & rate, etc.), however the order I see in admin (and thus what they see in their order history and order confirmation email) shows the order as it was before they made any changes. In addition, even though payment is successfully completed, the order status displays as "Pending" "PayPal IPN Verified [payment status: Completed]" instead of "Completed" "PayPal IPN Verified [payment status: Completed]". Interestingly, when a customer makes any change to items in the shopping cart, a new order *is* generated in the database when they hit the checkout_confirmation page again. What can I do to allow these other changes to be "recorded" in oscommerce? (thanks in advance for any advice!) ~ Elaine

I've installed on a clean osc 2.3.1 the discount code for 2.3.1 (last version 3.1 + paypal support http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7700). When I try to pay using paypal express checkout, paypal ask me to pay in $ rather than in €. For example I spend 10€ - 3€ discount = 7$ and not 7€! I think the express checkout module modifies in http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7700 loose by the way the currency settings. Is there somebody that have this problem too? May be it happens with all currencies that aren't dollar. Thanks to all

I had to move to a UCC Cert. Now when testing API for PayPal Express Checkout i get: The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies. BUT I can run sandbox and test personnel just fine. Confused and can not find any good info. Thanks, Todd

Hi There, I am using Os Commerce 2.2 MS2, PHP version 5.2.17 We are only offering our customers to pay through PayPal and already have a PayPal Business account. The problem is when customers do not have a PayPal account and do not hit the return button, their order is gone from my store. I recently thought the add package called: paypal_standard_1.0 could help me. I want to keep the standard checkout. But, I cannot get past the first installation that says: The file listing is as follows: • ext/modules/payment/paypal/standard_ipn.php • includes/languages/english/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php • includes/languages/espanol/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php • includes/languages/german/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php • includes/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php I don't have a clue on the first file listing the ext/modules...etc. I don't have a folder in my os commerce file database called ext I guess this will really show how little I know but if someone can steer me into the right direction. I don't understand there the standard_ipn.php goes. I could really use the help because right now I have people making payments and no order to go with it because they are not returning to the store. I am using osCommerce and I have my paypal setup but when I go to checkout and am redirected to the paypal page it doesn't show the total of the sale it only shows the shipping cost. Has anyone experienced this issue? Any ideas on how to fix this? I appreciate your time and help. Thank you!
