I have for some time been getting reports (intermittently) that Paypal tell my customer(s) that the invoice has already been paid and then that there is a problem with the merchant account. I have recently upgraded so it may be that historically ( years ago) that the order number has been used before. Is there a way to change the base order no so that it starts at say 30000? I was looking at using stripe.com as an alternative to another gateway (the one that recently advised a buyer to smash a violin rather than return it). Is there any support planned for this gateway service? Thanks!

Hi, On my development site which is 2.3.4 I have the paypal app installed and activated, although I have never added any live or sandbox credentials to it. During an upgrade to the site it has been seen that there are 100's of duplicate entries in the database. (actually around 1000) Could someone who is using the app please have a look at their database configuration table and check for duplicates of entries beginning with: OSCOM_APP_PAYPAL Many Thanks

I was testing the PP Express module in sandbox mode on my local server. The checkout process works well and payment can be made. Order gets registered all is fine. Except for some small issue with the redirect. After I payed at PayPal with a domestic address/account I get redirected to the checkout_confirmation page. After I payed at PayPal with a "international" address/account I get redirected directly to the checkout_success.php I find it kinda weird that depending on address/account the redirect is different. I version 2.3.3 installed. Using paypal websites payment standard. Just had an order come through that was not saved. Payment was made to paypal. Item sale was saved in database. Sale was not saved under customers name in database. Did not received confirmation email on sale. I am also using the same paypal account for another store that is version 2.2 rc2, (yes, I will upgrade soon) could this have anything to do with it? Thank you in advance.

The new paypal app introduces a new admin/orders.php file if like me you had modified the original file to incorporate changes, then these changes will be lost on installing the new file. the purpose of this thread is to allow people to share the changes they find are needed to re-instate these mods in the new files bundled with the paypal app.

Hi all, I have an oscommernce 2.2 RC2 running fine with PayPal Website Payments Pro (US) Direct Payments Version: 1.0 and PayPal Checkout modules Version: 1.0 enabled. All is good, but a small thing is a bother - When I have to do a refund on the paypal site, it can be a pain to connect the buyer on paypal.com to the buyer in our oscommerce site. Ideally, I'd like to write an orders_history item with the paypal transaction ID. Any suggestions? Is it perhaps passed to checkout_success.php in OSC? thank you! steve

Hi All, I have an issue with PostFinance/PayPal e-payment. When user select Postfinance as payment method and checkout, it redirects to Postfinance website where user select PayPal as payment method. Now if user paid with Paypal, but not return back to my site, then the order is not updated. and that's why its also not sending order confirmation emails to customers though i got the payment from customer. Hi, On my 2.3.4 stores I have "allow orders not matching defined shipping zones" set to false, and I use MZMT shipping - and all works well with my default zone (mainland uk). However, I have had customers contact me from N. Ireland and the scottish highlands who have been told that paypal express will not allow them to checkout and tells them that we do not deliver to those areas. I am trying now with "allow orders not matching defined shipping zones" set to true to see if that makes any difference - but am nervous that it will not add shipping to the order........

I added raiwas @@raiwa paypal invoice fix for PayPal standard. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/8491 somehow the tax calculation doesn't seem to be right on the PayPal payment site. I ship domestic and international. International customers don't have to pay VAT here in my country so my shop and the PayPal module show everything correctly during the checkout and payment process. The problem starts when a domestic customer pays with PayPal. Here is the Layout in my Shop (checkout_confirmation.php page) Item 1 -> 1620 Yen Item 2 -> 1080 Yen ------------------------------ Sub-Total: 2700 Yen + Shipping 810 Yen ------------------------------ Total: 3510 Yen (incl. 8% VAT, 260 Yen) As you can see all prices are incl. 8% VAT the items, the shipping cost and at the end inside the brackets you see how much VAT is included in the total amount. Now PayPal shows me this Layout: Item 1 -> 1500 Yen Item 2 -> 1000 Yen ------------------------------ Sub-Total: 2500 Yen Tax: 260 Yen Shipping: 810 Yen ------------------------------ Total: 3570 Yen PayPal shows the item prices without VAT (which i don't mind) but later after the subtotal he adds 260 Yen VAT and additional shipping of 810 Yen (which includes 8% VAT again) So PP charges the VAT for the shipping cost twice that's why the 60 Yen price difference. He pulls the VAT of the total amount and the shipping cost. How to prevent this? I could turn of tax for the shipping cost in my shop but then the shop calculation would not be right. Hi folks, Hit a slight problem with transactions with more than one item quantity. I've been through this with Paypal Payments Standard, but don't see a fix for this one. I just moved to Paypal Payments Pro Direct for Credit Card processing. The payment goes through, but item info and quantity, price, etc. do not pass through to PayPal, so my Shipping system does not get them either. Does anyone know if a fix for this? Surely others have run into this since Payments Pro is an included payment module now... Thanks! Carl

I have osCommerce 2.3.1. Installed PayPal Payflow Gateway from the PayPal website. The instructions say to setup the hosting account confirmation page return url method to link, but only post and get are available. The I-frame for the credit cards show but when it's processed, we receive PayPal payment but no order is processed and the customer's shopping cart is still full. I have tried to install fresh installs. Still didn't work either. PayPal instructions say to use (mywebsite/checkout_process.php), which I did. That page shows in the I-frame when the order is done, but doesn't link to a new window. If, at that time, I manually type in (mywebsite/checkout_process.php), it does process the order, but doesn't seem very convenient as some orders may or may not process depending on if the customer would or would not think they're done when the payment is done. I have installed our webpages, osCommerce, add-ons, modules, etc., but am limited to .php coding. Thanks for any help. Joe

hi having issues with IE11 and paypal payment details get transferred across to paypal, and get presented with login page, but as soon as you sign-in to pay, it crashes the browser its fine in chrome and FF, so from what we can see, this is specific to IE11 any ideas ? Jody

Okay, Whenever someone adds something to the cart and checks out using paypal, it comes up as USD on the invoice. This is wrong as I need AUD. I'm running a very simple website and i do not want the hassle of storing customer information in a database and all that comes along with it. I want to disable the ability to create, or use, an account when buying products. I just want the customer to be able to add items to the cart and then force them to use Paypal express as the only method of payment. How do i remove the account? and/or how do i stop the checkout button from asking people to create an account, or signing in? Much appreciated

H1,I have recently installed the addon for two kinds of Chinese. I have a language box with the flags of the countries inside, so the visitor can switch between Chinese and Engish as they go from pages to pages. Everything is fine but when a visitor tries to add an item to the cart or when he/she tries to check out in the Chinese interface the screen would freeze and just leave a white screen there. The checkout in my English interface if completely fine, it is only in Chinese that I am encountering this problem. Please help me as my shop is live and I have been trying to fix this for the last few days with no improvement. I have tried to compare the files one by one and so far they all seems to be identical. We are working on 2.3.3 and we use 3 payment method: Cod, Paypal with standard module and bank transfert. when the item is "out of stock" and with "stock_allow_checkout" is true, I'd like to disable the Paypal payment in checkout_payment.php page, enabling payments only with Cod and banck transfert. Anyone know how I can solve it? I'm not such an expert, sorry... My store uses the flat rate shipping module to charge $10 per order. Orders are processed through PayPal standard (or express). We're now offering gift certificates which of course shouldn't be charged shipping. I installed the Free Shipping Per Product module (http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/8409). It allows my flag products that should have free shipping. It works well and the checkout shows "free shipping" BUT when the order is passed to PayPal the $10 shipping charge is still there. Somehow the add-on has not changed what PayPal sees. Any ideas?
