  1. I am evaluating the migration of an existing 2.3.4 shop to 4.14 (plus patches for long image paths and subcategory display). I was able to import the existing data, and see it displayed in the "Watch" theme. I am playing with creating a custom theme (one widget at a time) and I noticed recently that clicking on a main page category no longer brings up any product under that category. Same problem if I switch back to Watch theme. The link from the category (e.g., batteries) seems to be good (https://<domain>/batteries) but it just comes back to the / main page. Under admin, the batteries category is there, and it shows a number of products under it, with quantities > 0. I don't see anything suspicious in either the backend (admin) or in the database itself. Any suggestions on where to start looking? I wonder if I messed up something in the SEO processing of a category name, rather than not seeing products to display? I still have just the one page defined for this theme, but I think I was getting the products displayed before (but I won't swear to it -- I may be confusing it with the Watch theme, which used to show the products). The featured and new products sections no longer show any products. The theme says that all pages use this page layout, which may have to be changed once I get things starting to work.
  2. I have an OSCommerce site using 2.3.4. I sell books on the site using attribute pricing, where a particular book will have the option to select hardcover or paperback. We're getting into selling eBooks, which will need to go through Amazon (because doesn't everything?) The easiest way I can think of is to have a 3rd attribute that states eBook, but has a link to the Amazon page for that particular eBook. I'm not sure how to include a URL in the description of the eBook to click on. Is there a way to do this easily? I'm assuming that each book would need its own unique description, since the URL would be included? Thanks Jeff

  4. the url looking like normal url, there is no seo url. http://www.yoursite.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_4&products_id=1 not changing to : http://www.yoursite.com/Hardware/Graphics-Cards/Matrox-G200-MMS/
  5. I am using the Ultimate URLs contribution and have a issue, I have amended the name of a product and therefore its link has changed from a to b, as seen below: (a) domain.com/great-product-p-12.html (B) domain.com/awesome-product-p-12.html The problem is that I only want (B) domain to work and I want (a) to now go to a 410 page. The reason why I want this is because google is duplicating the page and therefore penalising me for duplicate content. Does anyone know how I can resolve this simply? I dont want to just 410 the page in htaccess as this is a much bigger issue across many products. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris
