    Hi Dennis, Its DHTML. I started with the program from Aaron Boodman (youngpup.net/code) and took bits and pieces to make the dropdowns work out. Everything else is straight OSC MS2.2. The top cats are static to go with the design, but the subcats are pulled from the database. I still have to put in a dynamic height function to allow the height to be determined by the number of subcats, and I am still arguing with Firefox on the positioning. It looks OK in IE. I havent checked the other browsers and I am afraid it will look bad so dont tell me if it does ok? ;) The client is just now starting to give me more images and descriptions, so I am hoping it will fill up soon. I did not design the graphics, but I did do all of the backend code. Each time I do one of these I learn more about PHP and Osc in general. I am having a good time and that makes it easier to work through the bugs. Thanks! Deborah

    $addtocartbutton is all I have in my template. One of the mods I quoted above puts a text box next to the add to cart button. I am currently working on this storefront - I hope to be finished with it by mid next week. http://www.impeccablecollectibles.com :) Deborah

    Here is what I did. Its working fine for me. in catalog/product_info.php on line 213: replace: <td class="main" align="right"><?php echo tep_draw_hidden_field('products_id', $product_info['products_id']) . tep_image_submit('button_in_cart.gif', IMAGE_BUTTON_IN_CART); ?></td> with: <td class="main" align="right"><?php echo TEXT_QUANTITY . tep_draw_input_field('quantity', '1', 'SIZE=2 maxlength=2') . tep_draw_separator('pixel_trans.gif', '5', '1') . tep_draw_hidden_field('products_id', $product_info['products_id']) . tep_image_submit('button_in_cart.gif', IMAGE_BUTTON_IN_CART, 'align=absmiddle'); ?></td> in catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 358: replace: $cart->add_cart($HTTP_POST_VARS['products_id'], $cart->get_quantity(tep_get_uprid($HTTP_POST_VARS['products_id'], $HTTP_POST_VARS['id']))+1, $HTTP_POST_VARS['id']); with: $cart->add_cart($HTTP_POST_VARS['products_id'], $cart->get_quantity(tep_get_uprid($HTTP_POST_VARS['products_id'], $HTTP_POST_VARS['id']))+ (int)$HTTP_POST_VARS['quantity'], $HTTP_POST_VARS['id']); in catalog/includes/languages/english/product_info.php on line 21 (and any other language you use): after: define('TEXT_CLICK_TO_ENLARGE', 'Click to enlarge'); add: define('TEXT_QUANTITY', 'Qty:'); Taken from the qty_field_in_prod_desc.txt from the contribution. Modified from Brandon Clark's version, which was built off of Sean Wang's and Doug Murray's versions. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...asy+way+add+Qty

    Hi Brian, and everyone else here not sitting on a cushion, I am doing pretty well with STS and have just finished a store here : www.dottiedoolittle.com Brian, I would like to send you a more "tangible" form of my appreciation for all the hard work you are doing and for supporting the Open Source community, but I dont know where to look for that paypal button. Maybe you can direct me? Some of the money I earn is due to standing on your shoulders. I always try to send something when I can. :D Anyways, on to my question. Starting another storefront here: www.impeccablecollectibles.com/test/sub_page.html (you can see my work in progress here: www.impeccablecollectibles.com/store) and I really REALLY need to do a horizontal dropdown using DHTML for those top categories. Please dont tell me about any of the contribs. I have tried them all. Blechh! I hate uninstalling all that mess when it doesnt work the way I need it to. After wading through all the garbage here (can someone PLEASE tell the Osc Gods to make a better search function) I have found this primer: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35830 So, my question to all the humble and contrite developers here is easy: How to get a horizontal dropdown DHTML working with STS? Is there anyone who would like to work this out with me? I am not a professional PHP coder but I can hold my own. I think I have done a few Hiermenus some time ago. Maybe it is worth trying to fit this type of menu system into STS? Or .... maybe someone has gotten this to work already? Enlighten me. The client wants the drop downs so I have no choice. The designer had wanted to put them in for me but I told them to not waste their time knowing I was using STS and that I would need to code this in the backend somehow. OK I am rambling. Its 2:30 AM. I guess I can sleep when I die. :: smile :: Any thoughts anyone? Brian? Regards, Deborah

    Hi Guys, I am using STS files for Linda contribution and I am finding a problem while trying to use the product_info.php.html. Using the default one included with STS 2.01, I have found that it messes up the options, the text option in particular as well as setting the "buy" URL to something that doesnt add anything to the cart. ********************** Where I had the following code for the text option while not using STS: <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td height="14" class="infoBoxHeading"><img src="images/infobox/corner_right_left.gif" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1"></td> <td width="100%" height="14" class="infoBoxHeading">Line 1:</td> <td height="14" class="infoBoxHeading" nowrap><img src="images/pixel_trans.gif" border="0" alt="" width="11" height="14"></td> </tr> </table> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1" class="infoBox"> <tr> <td><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3" class="infoBoxContents"> <tr> <td><img src="images/pixel_trans.gif" border="0" alt="" width="100%" height="1"></td> </tr> <tr> <td class="boxText">Up to 64 characters<br><input type="text" name ="id[txt_8]" size="50" maxlength="64" value="more text number 4"></td> </tr> <tr> <td><img src="images/pixel_trans.gif" border="0" alt="" width="100%" height="1"></td> </tr> </table> ********************** I now have the following code: ********************** Option Header: Available Options:<br> <table border="1"><tbody><tr><td>Option Names:</td><td>Option Choices</td></tr> <tr><td> Line 1::<br> </td><td> <select name="id[8]"><option value="0" selected="selected">TEXT</option></select> ********************** Where I have the following code for "add to cart" while not using STS: ********************** <form name="cart_quantity" action="http://domainname.com/store3/product_info.php?products_id=8%7Btxt_8%7Dmore%20text%20number%204&action=add_product" method="post"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <tr> <td align="right" class="main"> <snip ...> <input type="hidden" name="products_id" value="8"><input type="image" src="includes/languages/english/images/buttons/button_in_cart.gif" border="0" alt="Add to Cart" title=" Add to Cart "> </td> </tr> </table></td> </tr> <tr> <td><br> </td> </tr> </table></form></td> <!-- body_text_eof //--> ********************** I now have this: ********************** <form name="cart_quantity" action="http://domainname.com/store3/product_info.php?products_id=8%7Btxt_8%7Dmore%20text%20number%204&action=add_product" method="post"><input name="products_id" value="8" type="hidden"> <snip ...> AddToCart Button: <input src="includes/languages/english/images/buttons/button_in_cart.gif" alt="Add to Cart" title=" Add to Cart " border="0" type="image"><br> Using any image (such as the logo) as an AddToCart button: <input src="images/oscommerce.gif" type="image"><br> <p></p> </form> ********************** Something is happening in the sts_display_output I fear. It seems like it is not catching all the variables. I used the default STS files for this example. Fellow STS Gurus - Any ideas? I have to use the product_info.php.html to layout the page as the client wants it. Thanks, Deborah

    Thanks Patrik - I was beginning to feel like it was something I have done. I also have that contrib installed - and I am still looking for an answer to it without much time left before the deadline. I will post if I figure it out - else I have to back out of the credit contrib and just go with a base plus STS. I hate meeting deadlines right at the deadline! Let me know if you have any luck either. Deborah

    Help! I am using the STS and everything is fine except when I am using my category templates, somehow the path to add the product to the basket is changing (or not changing) to the one I need to use. The path I get is: <form name="cart_quantity" action="http://domain.com/store2/product_info.php?cPath=1_46&products_id=50&action=add_product" method="post"> The path I want is: <form name="cart_quantity" action="http://domain.com/store2/product_info.php?products_id=68&action=add_product" method="post"> Where is that annoying cpath variable coming in to the URL - and what do I do to keep it away? Thanks! Deborah

    Authorize.net Not Connecting?

    When I put the store and the auth settings in test mode, the test transaction goes through with no errors. We are trying it with valid cc data and still no go. Chat with Auth.net and they were able to look at the transaction ID and tell me the following: (31) Invalid FDC MID or TID Action Code: General Error The FDC Merchant ID or Terminal ID is incorrect. Call Merchant Service Provider. Your Merchant Service Provider (MSP) is the company that acts as your Financial Institution. They do the depositing into your bank account and maintains your merchant account with Visa and Master Card. They are also the company that charges you the percentage discount rate on your batch settlements. Because of Authorize.Net's role in the credit card process, we are unable to view who your merchant provider is. However, by looking at your credit card statement you should be able to find who your Merchant Service Provider is, along with their contact information. Your error may be something else, but if it goes through in test mode and not in live mode, you may want to contact Auth net and see if they can check your trans for errors as well. Good Luck! Hi Richard, Thanks for the reply. I have a few other contribs in there as well and I think that I will have to do some fancy footwork to squeeze it in. Most notably, the options type and sorter contribs. Sometimes contribs don't play well together so I am glad that you have been successfull at putting this one in STS. At least I know it works! I am going to give it another try today. I think I will install the category descriptions on a clean osc + sts store and look at the category.php and index.php files. I figure those are the only two files I could be hashing. I will post back and let you know how it worked out. Thanks again! Wish me luck! Deborah

    Hi Brian, This is great stuff! I am working on the tail end of a huge site right now. I will post it at your Diamondsea website when its live. My question is about Category Descriptions. I played around with this today but couldnt quite get it to work. I am wondering if it is even possible to get a category description to show up using STS. Any thoughts? Has anyone else had some success with adding Category Descriptions into an STS built website? Thanks for listening. Deborah Smith Spinning Frog Internet Services

    Talon177, look for spaces at the end of the file named in the errors. Some file managers and some text editors will leave spaces at the end and Osc (among other PHP based proggies) doesnt like it. :) Now for my question .... Greg? I have installed this and it appears to be working fine. Thanks for the contribution and I will make sure that I send a little extra your way. When my customer chooses to pay via Check or Money order, the resluting order confirmation email looks clean and tidy. When they choose paypal however there are a number of lines written to the order confirmation that read like the following: Return-path: <email@somedomain.com> Envelope-to: email@somedomain.com Delivery-date: Wed, 07 Apr 2004 07:03:44 -0400 Received: from [] (helo=somedomain.com) by somedomain.com with esmtp (TLSv1:DES-CBC3-SHA:168) (Exim 4.24) id 1BBAqO-0006II-4W for email@somedomain.com; Wed, 07 Apr 2004 07:03:44 -0400 Received: from someone by somedomain.com with local (Exim 4.24) id 1BBAqO-0007r3-1n for email@somedomain.com; Wed, 07 Apr 2004 11:03:44 +0000 To: " " <email@somedomain.com> Subject: Order Process From: "Company Name" <orders@somedomain.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: osCommerce Mailer Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Message-Id: <E1BBAqO-0007r3-1n@somedomain.com> Date: Wed, 07 Apr 2004 11:03:44 +0000 X-AntiAbuse: This header was added to track abuse, please include it with any abuse report X-AntiAbuse: Primary Hostname - somedomain.com X-AntiAbuse: Original Domain - somedomain.com X-AntiAbuse: Originator/Caller UID/GID - [32222 32222] / [47 12] X-AntiAbuse: Sender Address Domain - somedomain.com My customers do not need to see this!
