ideally i would like to treat each color a different product but it becomes time consuming to maintain inventory( since i have a very small operation). I will try matching feature. didnt know there was a commercial version of qbi as well

I have a clothing store with limited number of products but each product has dozens of colors. QB import treats each color as a product. i havent really use this great contribution. is there any workaround around this. thanks

Hi! I have SEO urls installed and recently I upgraded it to 2.2. I have about 210 pages stuck in google supplemental. Most of the pages are from the older version of the site and more than 90% of these pages are product review pages. I have product review disabled in my site now. I was hoping that I would see a 301 redirect when i clicked on these pages( from within google search) but instead i see a newly generated product review page. This makes google think that i have duplicate content and hence the plenty. Here is an example: Old cached url in Google supplemental= site.com/old-url-pr12.html (this url existed in old version of the site) I click on this url in google search...new url i see is still the same =site.com/old-url-pr12.html( the only difference is that current version of the site doesnt have it and looks like SEO url mod creates it for me).. is there anyway to stop this from happening....did my coder install the contribution incorrectly... I would ideally like to see a 404 when i click the url from within Google search. is that possible? I desperately need help.. I will even pay for your time if you have a solution for me. many thanks

I noticed that old urls are not redirected to new and current appropriate urls( which I thought the latest version does) but a page with same url ( old urls that dont exist anymore) is generated. Is the mod designed like that or there is an installation error? Many thanks

Thanks ..that is one great site. I finally installed the latest version and everything seems to be working fine. Old urls that are buried in google supplemental results are directed to relevant urls. However, when ran old (now non-existent urls) through redirect cheker tools suchs as this one http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/redirect-check/, i get a 200 instead of 301. Is the mod designed like that or there is an installation error? For SEO reason, google should know that it is permanent redirect...i believe Many thanks!

Ok..I installed the update ( to 2.2.2)...I noticed that old urls get redirected to correct new urls but 301 is not generated when I ran the old url through a header check tool. Is this how the mod is designed to work or is there an error in installtion?

I have version 2 of this mod installed... which files do i need to modify to upgarde to 2.2 version.... thanks

I changed the design of the site about 3 times in last one year. and moved to a new server.. Google supplemental has lot of my old urls....which either dont exist anymore or whose urls have changed. WOuld the latest release of this contribution help redirectt my urls( old urls are also mod rewrite generated)? If I have to manually to do this through htaccess ..how do i do that? How do I redirect 301...index.php to www.sitename.com with this contribution installed? thank you

thanks guys..so is this contribution tweaked to include what they say in the above post or do we need to modify it to get the feed included into Froogle.

SO does this contribution feed into google base or froogle or both?
