  1. Hello, I've got a store set up and running smoothly, but I need to make a couple of changes for the site owner. Firstly, they would like to be able to upload (via the Admin panel) 2-3 images per product. I realise there are several add-ons in this regard, but I need to customise one of them further. When viewing a product, I only want ONE image to be displayed. Only after clicking on the thumbnail would they be able to peruse the other images. This brings me to part two. I would like to install Lightbox (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/) and, again, I realise there are add-ons for this. I have no issue implementing any of these, except that they must work with the above. For example, even though only one thumbnail is displayed in the product view, Lightbox would need to be able to "see" all full-resolution images and navigate between them. The third part is auto-thumbnails. It would be great to implement this feature at the same time as part one of my problem. I'm running osCommerce v2.2 RC 2a. Can anyone offer assistance with this? I can code in PHP but am not very savvy with osCommerce's template system and really don't want to screw the site up.

Ah. Well, that might be it then... I've had to use some absolute links in my template, but I'll change them. Other than that, I have a problem with processing Camtech (credit card) payments. It's always listed as "Transaction declined.". It's in testing mode with a correct testing username/password entered, and I'm using the dummy credit card number/expiry.

The URL is the secure address (https://....), it just doesn't seem to connect properly. My template header still sets the base URL correctly and everything functions, it's just that some elements are obviously not being parsed/loaded securely. I've spent about 2 or 3 months customising this shopping cart now. I don't find osCommerce to be particularly flexible (or easily updatable), even when using a template - though that does dramatically decrease the time required. I hope osCommerce 3 has been drastically improved and streamlined. If I can sort out this SSL problem and get my credit card payments to process successfully, I'll be done with it I hope.

I have installed osCommerce 2.2RC1 and applied STS with some heavy modification. But now, when using a secure server (e.g. on the checkout pages), the address isn't correctly recognised as secure in Firefox, and in IE I get the message about some items being secure and some not, do I want to continue etc. Strangely though, the SSL connection works properly when I turn off the STS templates. Does anyone else have this issue?

Well, it's not an issue with a QUERY, it's a query I had about a problem with connecting to a secure server.

Nevermind, it is indeed correct -- not sure why the byte size is identical, however. My mistake.

I think there is a problem with one of the packages listed on the contribution page. I downloaded "STS 4.5.6 for 2.2MS2 and RC1" and found that the zip file's contents are identical to that of contribution "STS v4.5 SP5", including the changelog. The change described, regarding ouput buffering with ob_end_clean() isn't anywhere within the package. Could someone please download these two packages and tell me if there is a difference? I'm reporting extracted total file sizes of 32,768 bytes.

I have a query which someone might be able to clear up for me. There are two definitions in the file "catalog/includes/configure.php", called "ENABLE_SSL" and "USE_PCONNECT". These values are currently set to TRUE and FALSE, without apostrophes. In some files within OSC, there's a check for "ENABLE_SSL" being equal to TRUE, and other times it's checked as being equal to 'TRUE' (with apostrophes). Why are there differences? I've changed all such references to 'TRUE' (with apostrophes) for the sake of uniformity, and the site appears to function in exactly the same way. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject? Further to this, and directly related to STS, I find that when using a https:// (secure URL), the address isn't correctly recognised as secure (i.e. the Address bar is not highlighted yellow, and in Firefox the padlock is crossed out). Strangely though, the SSL connection works properly when I turn off the STS templates. Does anyone else have this issue?

I think what happens is on those pages with the STS_CONTENT_END_CHAR defined as "$", you need to add that to the end of any variables you insert. For example, $addtocartbutton needs to be $addtocartbutton$. That's my understanding anyway.
