  1. I'd recomend Lightbox contribution too. it would look nice on your site http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4383
  2. To the best of my knowledge there is no contribution to put the "specials" where you currently see "new products for january". at my site i use a contribution that puts my categories down there, it looks really nice. to edit the info above that, where you've got your welcome message, that's all in /includes/languages/english/index.php there's a --- define('TEXT_MAIN', line there around line 25, it's real HTML, whereas most of the rest of that file is PHP, and you probably shouldn't mess with it unless you know PHP. I think that's about all i can offer for now.
  3. K, i got the web address, and i'l do what i can to help you. This isn't the right forum for it, buti'm going to recomend you install some contributions to help make it seem like it really is. First of all, go back and undo whatever changes you've made to the main index.php and products_info.php, those are NOT files you should edit until you know exactly what your doing. I'l follow up with some more stuff in a moment, but i want you to do that first, because your store is kinda broken at the moment.
  4. PM me your site address, i'l take a look and see what stage your at
  5. I bumped one of my old posts, and a new member had an answer to it. Since this has gone un-answered for 2 months,i thought i'd give it a try
  6. Well, i really didn't "fix" anything, what i did was program all the users into the applet at his "Test it here" link, then i went into the SQL tables and manually edited them the problem was i had no idea they were nested set's, or even what nested sets were at the time. I've read a couple more articles on them now, and understand it enough that i can make all the edits i need manually. Unfortunately it seems that PHP/SQL coding is above me, way above. I'd gladly work with anyone who thought they could do that end of the coding, to help with the nested set's side of things, as well as helping to integrate it (i understand how OSCommerce works well enough to know what files do what) Unfortunately i cant really shed any more light on what i did, since it was a very specific "he should have hierarchy over her", when the cookie had failed to do it for some reason. Once i learned about nested set's, I just made the change that was required.
  7. Henri, you are a life saver! Thank you so much!
  8. I'm gonna give this another shot, see if anyone knows yet. I want to manually edit the affiliate tiers of some of my affiliates. I'm pretty sure i've found the information in the SQL database, i just dont know for sure. Take a look at this, it's from the table affiliate_affiliate affiliate_id affiliate_lft affiliate_rgt affiliate_root 1 1 2 1 2 1 2 2 3 1 2 3 4 1 2 4 hopefully that formatting holds, if not i'l edit it. I'm sure this is the data i need to edit. If you could take a look at your rows, where you know someone was refered by someone else, maybe we can come up with the answer. As it is now, I am #1, and #2 #3 #4 are all separate. I want them to all be downline of me. any thoughts? the "next version" which is apparantly already done, just pending release right now, apparantly has all this in it, but i'm losing faith there.
  9. In the readme file for the OSC affiliate install, there's a URL for a sourceforge project. There, i found an email for a guy named "Snowman20" or something (i'm not at home right now) I had asked him for the information on the affiliate tiers location so i could code an addition myself, and he told me not to bother, since he'd already done it, full affiliate tracking was included in the next release, and that he hoped to have it out by the end of the month. That's all i know.
  10. I got ahold of the guy running this project. The next version has it included, and he's hoping to get it out soon. I think I found the SQL tables that hold the information, but I'm not gonna bother trying to make code for it. 1) i could be wrong 2) he's already done it and i'm not impatient.
  11. I went to all the trouble of editing that image, twice, and nobody knows. Guess i'l have to give it a try. Hope it works.
  12. your right, this is a very sloppy way to install a contrib. I'd recomend contacting the author themselves. Thier name should be listed in the contrib section.
  13. I'm trying to make a shipping module, but before i start working on the code, i want to know if anyone has tried, and found out it's not possible. Here's what my shipping screen looks like right now, 2 modules Now, with most modules, having multiple shipping options seems to mean multiple modules, which would mean the screen would look like this. (imagine the 2 other items wern't both canada) I dont quite like how that looks. I'd rather my shipping screen looked something like this. But like i said, before i go to all the trouble, i'd rather know that it's even possible. I downloaded another flat shipping module, but it ended up looking like picture #2, and i didn't like that at all. Let me know what you think.
  14. The affiliate tier info has to be stored somewhere, either in a config file, or in the SQL database. Who on the programmer side of things do you think we could ask about this? Ahh, this project is sourceforge driven, i'l see who i can find.
  15. Anybody know how to track tiers? I want to know which webmasters have refered which other webmasters, but i cant find anywhere to get that info. i looked in the SQL database, but i dont see entries of that type there either.
