How to Secure Your Site

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

That link covers how to stop a hack happening not what to do once you have been hacked.

Safest way is to wipe your entire site and restore from a back up.

If you do not have a backup, the only way is to find every file that was updated, see last modified date/time of the files and remove the extra code. But even then you have to ask yourself have the hackers altered these dates?

Then follow the steps outlined in Spooks's thread.

You should also ensure your admin area is protected as per a post by Jan Z, link at the top of my profile info.

Check the permissions on every file and directory is set to the correct level.
