Tested and working in my production 2.3.1 store. 1 file included to upload into your admin folder after you backup your categories.php and you're done. If your store has a modified categories.php read the included install readme file for the spots to edit.

The installreadme in the First package zip file is difficult to read from notepad. Uploaded this one so that it reads easy regardless of what you use to open it with.
