Description: Creates and automatically sends a data feed to Google Base and Froogle using Google's new unified feed specification. This Google Data Feeder, handles product duplicates, specials(if available), currency conversion, tax support, html descriptions, full category trees, and automatic upload. In addition, the Google Data Feeder supports advance feeds. With the advance feed option enabled and the "instock" field enabled, it will create a feed with all of the products. Without the advance feed option enabled, it will only submit in stock items. The Google Data Feeder is based on my stable Froogle Data Feeder.

- Added code to allow the manufacturers name to be used as the brand so that a new field is not required

This is by no means an update to the wonderful work Jack_mcs has provided, but a stop-gap update for those merchants pulling their hair out to comply with Google's Sept 30 2011 requirements.
Creates an availability column as per Google's new required spec for UK shops (Excluding Apparel which need GPC (product category as well).

This update adds your stores EAN numbers to the googlebase upload file.
Yet another requirement from Google - Will they ever stop!
I have created a new data base column to include these numbers. You can input them through your categories page. By using the same princible, you can also add part numbers, model numbers or whatever you like.
This is NOT a full pack as my store's files have been messed around with so many times they would not work anywhere else. I hope the instructions are easy enough to follow.
With these new numbers, I have used them on our products page and in the Meta-tags. This is not included as I though it goes to far off the point of this update.
NOTE:
I have submitted this same idea with screen shots. Unfortunately the file was over 300k so OSC are verifing it frst. There are no shots in this pack.
Changes:
- Removed extra space around t that could cause errors with google
- Fixed typo (FFEED) in googlefeeder file (mentioned by Silver Bullet)
- Moved english feeders file to the correct location (mentioned by Steelworks)
- Added missing language identifier to sql code
- Added version number to title of feeders page

Change to make the Feeder compatible with the separate price per customer (SPPC) contribution.
Every product which is configured to be hidden from retail-users (customers not logged in and standard customers) is automatically excluded from the feed.
Additionally a small bug is fixed - OPTIONS_DEFAULT_FFEED_LANGUAGE occured in the feed caused by a typo.
Please note: this is not a full package, it contains only the patched googlefeeder.php.
The current version of this contribution hardcodes in series 2 seo urls which means that no others can possible work with it.
This revised googlefeeder.php does two things: -
1) Removes the hardcoding so that the propper tep_href_link() function can be used (e.g. with Ultimate Seo Urls 5)
2) Corrects the aweful query that returns 247 rows where it should return just 27 on a stock osCommerce.
Please see the instructions.txt for a small change to the cron and a small USU5 update.
- Changed expiration date, as mentioned by kmb40, to shorten the expiration date and prevent google errors
- Changed how manufacturer and manfacturer ID (now product model) are handled.
- Corrected spelling mistake for manufacturer (found by mdtaylorlrim)
- Fixed installation instructions for the feeder link as noticed by user buysellleasetrade
- Added code to exclude products listed as Quotes from that contribution
- Added code to handle product attributes
- Added option to easily turn tax calculation on and off
- Added option to skip some manufacturer names
- Added Version Checker code to allow easy checking for updates

Earlier version had problem with Google due to header html tages. This one works fine even though tab settings are not visible at the URL of this file.

Special Prices were not showing up in the earlier version. They show up correctly in this version.
This feeder has been revised to work with Ultimate SEO URLs contribution with all the current requirements of Google Base with proper tab settings. Many changes have been done to the earlier version. This contribution will auto generate Google Base Data Feed and you can let Google Base auto upload this file.
Updated Admin layout alot, made it all work together nice and neat.

Thanks for this great contribution. And just tested it, and got some bugs, to make it work with Ultimate SEO url, there are two bug fixes in googlefeeder.php:
1. change :
$SEO_FLAG = 0; //default = 0
to
$SEO_FLAG = true;
2. change:
$_cleaner_array = array(">" => "> ", "®" => "", "? => "", "™" => "", "?=> "", "t" => "", " " => "");
to

That's why we're asking all Froogle merchants to send us bulk uploads in the Google Base format, with five additional attributes (along with the basic ones you've submitted in the past). Because we think it's important to provide a consistent user experience, we will no longer list items that don't meet a minimal number of attributes by the end of February 2007 "UnQuote"
This is why I had to add 4 new conditions, added file googlefeeder.php only, look in the file for lines marked with "// 31 jan 2007 Added condition due to Froogle making mandatory"
Dont replace your googlefeeder.php with this one, just look for the changes and implement the ones you need according to the google URL above.

I edited v1.03 and added Ultimate SEO URL code from an earlier version of this contribution. It works fine for me and should for anyone else until FlyingMonkey puts out his own. This will work with Ultimate SEO URLs 2.1d only - no other SEO contribution is supported.
