Active Countries
Active Countries contribution offers control of the countries table through the osc admin cpanel. In addition the contribution automatically filters the associated states (when present) of the selected country. This approach eliminates selection difficulties visitors experience during the registration process and has no active script dependencies. Multiple modifications are done on the catalog side, to address the 4 areas a user can alter the country information. Those are in the create account, address book change, payment address and shipping address.
If only one country is enabled the country drop-down list is replaced by simple text while the requirement asterisk is removed.

This is a complete package
Included is the correct sql file for active countries v2.10 This creates the countries_pay_status and countries_ship_status columns.
The following mods were made with v2.10
- Fix to to geo zones countries mode page splitting.
- Fix to correctly display errors when no country changes from the drop-down list.
- Fixed Customer Insert/update errors/warnings
- Added countries selection shipping.
- Added countries selection billing.
- Added address book entries insert/update support with osC Admin.
-Added countries sort order
- Moved state ID notes into the main requirements section.
In addition addess book entries may be created/edited starting with version 2.10. Two additional options are included with the customers listings to edit or insert address book entries for a selected customer.

Fix for World Zones SQL file:
- Corrected encoded special characters, which were causing problems on sign up.
- Corrected the sequence by name.
SQL file only. Replace the one included in the contribution with this one.
This version only fixes the problem deleting geo-zones folders. Full version

Starting with version 2.00 the module now supports control of multiple countries and active zones. Operation is extended to insert multiple zones within a tax zone with a single click. Separate mode of operation allows the user to select the way a country's states are inserted in the database. This latest addition allows the user to specify the countries and states of the store operation in a fast and efficient way. Zones multi-delete operations are also supported.
Just a revised readme for this great contribution by enigma. The files are listed alphabetically and a few minor things were changed- but it helped me after re-organizing everything and highlighting the steps.

The original re-directs caused some problems with this contrib in the checkout_shipping_address.php and
checkout_payment_address.php pages. To fix this problem, follow the instructions in the attached file.
Bug Fixes/Updates v1.01:
- Fix when a single country is enabled. Missing code. Replaced function tep_get_country_active_list
- Fix when the customer sets all fields in the form and changes country (when changes it last) could insert the customer entry in the dbase although the customer haven’t confirmed his account details.
