Paypal Express Checkout 1.0 Alpha
This is an extremely "alpha" release of a sort of cart within your cart I've been working on, with the goal of having a fast checkout for Paypal customers, where they don't have to enter their address, or bother clicking through 5 pages just to get their item, shipping, and price into Paypal. I have the Paypal Shopping Cart v. 3.0 installed, but I think this cart would probably work with other forms of the IPN program, I'm not sure though.
My fast Paypal Express Checkout uses the 1 Click Buy contribution, and attempts to offer a Paypal popup checkout that can be placed wherever you like (I put it in a header visible from everywhere in the store). But you could certainly use it in a more limited fashion. I also plan to write a nice FAQ about the cart, and place a question mark next to the button on my site so it's very clear to people that I'm not a Paypal exclusive store.
I am hoping some of you brilliant coders out there might be able to help improve upon what I've done here, and eventually we'll have a fantastic solution for people looking to offer a quick checkout - perhaps eventually to ALL customers and not just Paypal...as I think the 1 Click Buy guys are really on to something. The current checkout system is a recipe for lost cart sales and poor sales.
Thanks for looking, and I hope the thing works ok someplace besides my own computer!
