This zipped file includes two tables:

1. A "countries" table in Spanish
2. A "zones" tables with the updated provinces/states/departamentos of all Spanish-speaking countries (except Equatorial Guinea) with the corresponding (and revised) countries_id field.

WARNING: This tables are to be used on NEW INSTALLS ONLY. Otherwise, if you simply update the table structure into old data, customers who used to be classified in one country may not live there any more.

These tables helps stores in Spanish who want to subscribe customers with correct country field written in Spanish and in Spanish alphabetical order.

This update includes the countries tables in Spanish and the corresponding zones table with the appropriate zone_country_id.

Again, REPLACE THESE TABLES ONLY ON A CLEAN INSTALL. Otherwise, your current customer's country information will get all screwed up.

For Spanish shops, this is a replacement countries tables in your database. All you have to do is replace your current countries table on osC Database with this attached one. Use phpMyAdmin.

If you do not know how to update or replace tables in MySQL, I suggest you do not mess with this. It's not that important that people search for their home countries in English.

Result: the list of countries will be read in Spanish, as opposed to English.

Use this table ONLY on new installs. The countries_id field no longer correspond to the old country list. This was done to reflect the new Spanish alphabetical order. So, for example, if you've been using the old table and have X number of customers in the US, when you replace the new table, your US customers will now appear to live in Yemen!

Again, this is for new installs only.

If you want to try it out, make sure to BACK UP YOUR OLD TABLE FIRST.
